How do you replace a speed sensor on a FWD car(hyundai sonata)?
I have a 01 Sonata GLS that needs a new input speed sensor,located on the tranny.I found the part online and figured Id fix it myself,but Im clueless as to how to do it-Is it simply just popping the old one out and putting the new one in,or do wires need to be cut and attached and all that? Thanks for any help
Your most important consideration is whether you have the proper car ramps and jack stands to safely support the car while your working under it. If not, you can’t do the work anyways. Most sensors have a connector which you detach to install a new one. See if http://www.autozone.com has any repair information. Otherwise try your local public library’s Chiltons and Motors manuals or a http://www.haynes.com manual for your car.
